Catching up and Exciting times

I was watching Phil Michelson the other day and I was impressed how well he keeps his head still when hitting the ball.

I was doing some of this and playing around with it for chips and the full swing.

Then on Monday I found that my irons were going an extra 10 to 15 yards.  It was hard to trust, but it became apparent that I could count on this new distance.

I still had it on Tuesday and today there seemed to be a bit of regression, but I'm longer than I was last week.

My driver was still an issue.  However I noticed that when I am hitting the other clubs that my shoulders are very much on the swing plane, but when I grab the driver, it seemed to me that I am swinging like a baseball swing and the shoulders are perpendicular to the ground and not parallel to the swing plane.

Of course all of this is noticed on the 15th hole.  And there are not a lot of holes left that require a driver, but after becoming aware of the issue, I hit the last shots quite well and my drive on 18 was a good improvement.

So maybe I'm longer and have solved the driver problem.

Well, I've written that before.  I'm playing tomorrow and we shall see what happens.

I shot a smooth 39, 38 today with a lot of ho-hum pars, i.e., lots of tap ins.  No birdies, but good up and downs and only missed one short putt for my only 3 putt.  About 10 GIRs.
